The Scrapped, explores themes of memorializing, inspired by the recently decommissioned P4W (Prison for Women) in Portsmouth Village in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. It’s a village with many walls; both tangible walls of prisons, psychiatric institutions and a university to abstract walls that separate communities. An ‘almost final’ version was screened at the Paradise Theatre for the Toronto Short Film Festival in March 2023. The final version was screened at the 2024 Kingston Canadian Film Festival, and has also been selected to screen at the Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles for the Hollyshorts Monthly Screening Series, 23/24, season (date tba).

After moving to an off-campus apartment in the shadow of the former prison for women, known locally as P4W, a queer university student is visited by ghostly apparitions and is forced to face her own haunting reality.

The Haunted continues where The Scrapped leaves off, with university student, Kelly, settling into her life in Portsmouth Village. It was selected as a finalist for the 25 Years 25 Minutes pitch competition at the Kingston Canadian Film Festival and will enter into production in the summer of 2024.
